Theatrical production 'Omen' PREMIERE
Is the machinist world order, taking over the world and its residents like a ball of fire, an omen? Is omen a one-time thing, after which its disappears? Or does it become one with the place which has seen blood and tears? The tall factory buildings of Krenholm have allowed their arches to expand to accommodate generations of work and common goals. Now, it is a distressful museum of nothingness. Here, we will bring the 'Poetry of the worker's blow' back to life with the help of Aleksei Gastev.
'Omen' is based on the avant-garde poem by Aleksei Gastev 'Poetry of the worker's blow'. A. Gastev became known as a theoretician and practitioner in socialist Russia, whose interest and goal was to improve the efficiency of factory workers. The largest factory in Estonia was the Krenholm Manufacturing Company, which, with its size, carries the mechanised spirit of workers even today. Its rooms are filled with the sense of magnificent industries, as well as the delicate challenges of workers, which can be perceived both in the colossal factory areas and in the manufacturing company.
The play begins at the Krenholm Old Gate, opposite 32 Joala Street. Please dress according to the weather.
Duration of the play: 1 hour 40 minutes
