The new athletics stadium has been named after Heino Lipp. Jõhvi started a tradition and initiated the Heino Lipp memorial athletics meeting where the top track and field athletes compete.

The WA Continental Tour is an international competition series held under the auspices of the International Association of Athletics Federations, with many world-ranking TOP 100 athletes from different countries around the world and the best Estonian athletes participating.
