The Poruni hiking trail winds through ancient forest and along the banks of the Poruni River, which flows into the Narva River. Partly a forest track, but mostly a boardwalk, the trail showcases the diversity of its natural setting – the plants, birds and other species that call Poruni home. The full trail is 10 km long, there and back, but you can also do a 3 km circuit. There is a car park and information board at the starting/finishing point of the trail.
Did you know…?
*In the 18th century the banks of the Poruni River were the site of one of Estonia’s oldest glass workshops – the Gorodenko glass factory
