International Rowing Regatta Baltic Cup 2026

In autumn 2026, the international rowing competition Baltic Cup will take place for the first time on the rowing canal of the Aidu Water Sports Center. This marks an important milestone in the development of Estonian rowing and the Aidu Water Sports Center, bringing athletes and spectators from several countries to Ida-Viru County.

The regatta traditionally takes place on the last weekend of September and offers the opportunity to see top-level rowing on Estonia’s only Olympic-standard rowing canal at the Aidu Water Sports Center in Ida-Viru County.

Baltic Cup is an international competition open to the U18 age category, with athletes from all countries welcome to participate. In practice, however, the participants usually consist mainly of young rowers from nine countries around the Baltic Sea. Typically, around 300 athletes take part in the competition.

Hosting the Baltic Cup is an important step for Estonian rowing, as it is a prerequisite for the Estonian Rowing Federation to apply in the future to host even larger international championship events in Estonia, such as the U19 and U23 European Championships, World Championships, or World Cup stages.
