Virtual Reality Time Travel "The Inner Beauty of Oru Palace" – VR Toila 1938 Part III

The third experience in the VR Toila 1938 series takes you inside the magnificent interiors of Oru Palace. Everything feels remarkably real, as you are free to explore the palace at your own pace. Before beginning your journey, however, the palace servant will provide you with slippers, just as visitors once received in the palace.

The highlight of the experience is the meticulously reconstructed basement floor, featuring the Estonian Room, the Garden Hall and the Bar.

Oru Palace, once the summer residence of President Konstantin Päts, was destroyed during World War II. Today, this magnificent building can only be experienced through virtual reality.

The experience lasts approximately 30 minutes (part) and offers fascinating discoveries for history enthusiasts as well as anyone looking for a unique cultural experience. Oru Park, where the palace once stood, remains one of Estonia’s most beautiful historic parks, offering breathtaking sea views, colourful flower displays and pleasant walking paths.

An unforgettable sensory journey into the beauty and splendour of Oru Palace awaits you in Oru Park.

You can also discover the palace’s former grandeur in the other VR Toila 1938 experiences: Part I and “In the Footsteps of Lost Splendour” (Part II).

VR headsets can be rented from the Glass Pavilion at the edge of Oru Park. Walk between the different locations and experience the stories of the palace through immersive visuals and audio. Please allow approximately 40 minutes for each part.

Summer opening hours: 1 June–31 August, Wednesday–Sunday, 11:00–18:00.

From 1 September onward, visits are available for pre-booked groups with at least three days’ advance notice.
